With solidarity and the promotion of sustainable development in mind, the Valencia City Council has three aims in its international cooperation policy:
a) To foster specific projects carried out in the areas destined for the aid.
b) To support the initiative and participation of the NGODs located in our municipality in cooperating with less developed countries by co-financing specific projects.
c) To contribute to the complete and sustainable development of the area destined for the cooperation.
In the tender call for subsidies for 2009, the Social Welfare Delegation awarded subsidies amounting to € 826,000 to finance 20 projects of Cooperation for Development, according to the following details:INTERVENTION SECTORS
