THE MAYORESS SUPPORTS THE BETERA MILITARY UNIT IN A MISSION IN AFGHANISTAN

Rita Barberá has hosted the Standard of the Contingent Unit from Rapid Deployment Headquarters of NATO in Bétera.

The Mayoress of Valencia, Rita Barberá, has expressed “a huge recognition and admiration on behalf of all the Valencians” to the unit of one hundred commands from the Headquarters of rapid Deployment Force of NATO settled in Bétera ready to depart to Afghanistan in an International Mission.  

The Headquarters of Rapid Deployment Force from the Atlantic Alliance, which is one of the seven NATO headquarters since 2001, receives 200 soldiers coming from different Spanish cities and countries such as Germany, United States, France, Greece, Italy or Portugal. 

The contingent, departing in the next days, is a highly specialized military group that will deploy in the capital of the country, Kabul.

The unit departs from Valence. They are a balanced scorecard team with a relevant experience and will be responsible of the control tasks as well as organization and pacification works in this military operation.
