VALENCIA AND STUTTGART FORMALIZE THEIR PARTNERSHIP ON EDUCATION, TOURISM, MOBILITY AND RESEARCH

The Mayoress of Valencia, Rita Barberá and her German counterpart Wolfgang Schuster signed an agreement between the two cities, aimed at creating opportunities for cooperation in the fields of education, the environment, urban mobility, tourism and sport. As Mayoress Rita Barberá explained, this is an “open agreement, which goes well beyond just being twin cities; its purpose is to extend to every aspect that may be of interest to both cities”.

By way of example, both cities are now committed, when it comes to the tourist industry, to work together on developing their air traffic connections to increase tourist numbers in both cities and to create trade opportunities for both business communities. The agreement gives expression to a strong desire to encourage the sharing of information and experiences by organizing international meetings.

The Mayoress of Valencia reiterated to her German colleague Valencia’s desire to “give a strong boost to its process of internationalization”, which prioritizes relations with organizations that working on areas of interest to the city.
