THE CITY COUNCIL INVITES CHILEAN ENTREPRENEURS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE “GLOBAL CHINA BUSINESS MEETING”

The Third Deputy Mayor, Councillor Silvestre Senent, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Chile in Spain, Sergio Romero Pizarro, who visited the city of Valencia. This official meeting was also attended by the Consul of Chile in Valencia, Leopoldo López, and the Cultural Attaché of the Embassy, Christian Pizarro.

The Ambassador, a lawyer and member of parliament for over 20 years, was interested in municipal projects and initiatives promoting Valencia on an international level. He showed special interest in Silvestre Senent´s invitation on behalf of the Mayoress of Valencia to inform Chilean business people about the possibility of participating in the “Global China Business Meeting”.

As explained by the Councillor, this meeting, which is an annual event for senior managers of Chinese companies and their equivalents all over the world, will be held for the first time in Valencia on 7th and 8th November, “and due to the geostrategic situation of the city, more specifically in the port. This time the agenda of the meeting is intended to increase the attendance of South American businesses, with special relevance given to such countries as Chile.”

Having committed themselves to identify and make contact with large Chilean companies to take part in this business meeting, Sergio Romero stated that he will return to Valencia accompanied by the representatives of some of the most influential media of his country, so that these can inform people about the evolution of the city of Valencia, as well as about this international meeting.
